In his return to mixed martial arts after nearly 5 years in boxing, Kimbo Slice finally fought Ken Shamrock, a fight that was set to happen way back in 2008.

It may have been 7 years too late but at least we finally got to see the fight after all the hype.

Kimbo Slice defeated Ken Shamrock in the 1st round via TKO after looking like he might be choked out just a few seconds before breaking free and landing the fight ending punch.

Kimbo Slice Still Undefeated in Boxing Career Thus Far

Kevin Ferguson "Kimbo Slice" is now 7-0 in his boxing career. After going from street fighting sensation to failed UFC fighter, he seems to have found his calling in the boxing ring. Although he isn't exactly taking on the best of the best, at least he is winning.

His most recent fight was against Shane Tilyard where he won by knockout in round 2.

Kimbo Slice Gives a One Punch KO in His Second Boxing Match

In his 2nd professional boxing bout Kimbo Slice scored a one punch knockout against Tay Bledsoe. Here's the video...



He is now 2-0 in his boxing career and has only had to throw a few punches total to get those wins. Although these haven't exactly been top level opponents, it still appears like he is going to have more success in boxing than he did in MMA.

Kimbo Slice's Boxing Debut - He's a Winner!

He's back! And hopefully for a lot longer this time.

Kimbo Slice made his professional boxing career debut on 8/13/2011 when he fought in a 4 round match against James Wade at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma. He won the fight via Knockout at ten seconds in the first round.

That means he is 1-0 in his boxing career. Yep, he's undefeated as of now.

Introducing The Bloody Cage MMA Blog

Since Kimbo Slice was fired from the UFC after his recent loss, and most likely never will take off to become a top-notch MMA fighter, it seems this blog isn't going to be of much use anymore. I will still update it with any Kimbo Slice news or fight announcements if there is any, but right now there's not much to post.

So, the purpose of this post is to tell you about a new mixed martial arts blog that a friend of mine owns called "The Bloody Cage" -- Clever name if you ask me!

He will be updating it with all sorts of UFC and general MMA fighting information so keep it on your "to visit often" list.

Kimbo Slice Fights Tonight on UFC 113

Don't forget that Kimbo Slice's next fight is tonight in UFC 113.

Kimbo Slice vs Matt Mitrione

Both fighters were on season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF).

I personally think that Kimbo should win this one. Matt Mitrione did not impress me at all on TUF 10 (except in the finals) and he has less experience than Slice does at this point. But you never know what's going to happen in the UFC so it's highly possible that I could be wrong. We will see in just a couple hours from now.

I'll update this blog with the results so come back later if you want to know who wins, and how.

Early reports indicate that Kimbo Slice vs Matt Mitrione is set for for UFC 113 on May 01, 2010. The wait may finally be over as the new UFC fighter, Kimbo Slice, gets set to make his highly anticipated debut with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

According to various reports, Kimbo Slice will fight his former TUF 10 cast member Matt Mitrione on the UFC 113 fight card in Montreal, Canada.

Almost 6 million people tuned in to watch Kimbo Slice make his official UFC debut against Houston Alexander in The Ultimate Fighter 10 finale on Spike TV. That makes it the most watched live UFC fight of 2009 and the most popular finale in the history of the TUF series.

Kimbo Slice's Next Fight is Saturday

He's back again! Kimbo Slice fights again this Saturday December 5th against Houston Alexander in the Ultimate Fighter Heavyweights finale live at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas.

I don't know much about Houston Alexander but I do know that he has been around MMA and the UFC for quite a while and has fought some very good opponents. He even knocked out Keith Jardine at UFC 71 back in 2007.

This should be a good fight as both Kimbo Slice and Houston Alexander are hard hitters capable of knocking each other out.

There are also a few other great fights scheduled that night so be sure to tune in!

Kimbo Slice Fighting on TUF Again?

Tonight's episode of The Ultimate Fighter Heavyweights was a fairly dramatic one.

It looks like Kimbo Slice might actually get a shot to come back and fight. I know this has already been a possibility before but I think it's much more likely this time. Matt Mitrione either really is injured or is just pretending to be hurt because he's a pussy. Either way Kimbo Slice appears to be the one that will take his place if he can't fight.

The fight between Justin Wren and Roy Nelson was a pretty good one as there was decent action with some good shots landed from both sides. Roy Nelson ended up winning by majority decision but everyone agreed it should have gone a 3rd round to decide the fight because it was too close to call.

I assumed that Roy Nelson was a great fighter based on his resume coming into TUF 10 but from what I have seen so far between his fight against Kimbo Slice and now against Justin Wren, he isn't very impressive at all. One thing that's for sure is that Roy thinks he's a better fighter than his performances show. Even when he wins it looks weak.

With a little more work I think Kimbo Slice will definitely be a better MMA and UFC fighter than Roy Nelson or Justin Wren.

Kimbo Slice Almost Gets His Second Chance On TUF 10

Kimbo Slice almost got his chance to fight again on "The Ultimate Fighter 10" after an injury to Zak Jensen. He was all fired up and excited to get to fight again but as it turns out Zak was able to fight and Kimbo didn't get to this time.

In other drama from this episode of The Ultimate Fighter Heavyweights...

Darrill "Titties" Schoonover almost got a beat down from Quinton "Rampage" Jackson for thinking he was a little tougher than he really is. Seems to me if you are a contestant on a show trying to get into the UFC then you might not want to try and fight a proven former champion of the UFC.

Darrill said, "A street fight is a lot different than a cage fight" and that might be true but him against Rampage in either a street fight or a cage fight would end very badly for "Titties" Schoonover. There's no doubt that Schoonover is a tough guy but he isn't that tough! At least not yet.

Also, in tonight's fight Darrill Schoonover ended up beating Zak Jensen in the first round from a triangle choke.

Anyway that's twice now that Kimbo Slice has almost had the chance to fight again on the show. Do you think he will ever get his chance or should he just sit back and relax a bit, and wait for his next fight in the actual UFC?

If you happened to catch the preview of tonight's episode of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Heavyweights, then I am sure you noticed that they made it appear as though Kimbo Slice would be fighting again tonight, or at least soon, despite losing last week to Roy Nelson.

Also, if you go the ultimate fighter portion of the Spike TV website, you will see a video that makes it seem as though he might be fighting tonight due to Marcus Jones being hurt. Actually, you can see that video below...

Kimbo Slice Loses to Roy Nelson

Kimbo Slice vs Roy Nelson results:

Kimbo Slice lost to Roy Nelson in the 2nd round by TKO (referee stoppage) in tonight's episode of the ultimate fighter heavyweights.

It was a pretty good fight with both fighters getting in some good shots, especially Kimbo, but the much more experienced Roy Nelson's ground game was too much for Slice to handle and he eventually got the better of him.

To be honest, I didn't expect Kimbo to win this fight since Roy Nelson has a lot of MMA experience and is a former IFL champion. However, even in losing Slice showed that he has definitely improved his MMA fighting ability and will be a force in the UFC some time the near future.

It was the most anticipated fight in the ultimate fighter history and it did not disappoint, even though it wasn't exactly a super exciting fight.

It's very apparent that Kimbo Slice still needs to drastically improve his ground game but I think you have to give him props for fighting so well against a much more experienced and extremely tough opponent.

He's also a great guy even when he loses!

This is just a quick reminder that Kimbo Slice will be fighting Roy Nelson tonight on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF).

Kimbo Slice Says He's Training Hard for Next UFC Fight

UFC fans will finally see Kimbo Slice step into the Octagon on Wednesday night when his fight with Roy Nelson airs on The Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV, and when Kimbo spoke with the media on Monday, he said he was pleased with how he did.

Kimbo, Nelson and the UFC have carefully avoided giving away any spoilers about the fight, which took place over the summer, but Kimbo did say, "I was impressed with my performance." And he indicated that he expects to have much better performances in the UFC down the road.

Kimbo said he's training at American Top Team -- one of the best MMA gyms in the world -- and that he expects to be better than ever for a likely UFC fight in December.

"I'm training at American Top Team," Kimbo said, adding that he plans to continue working at ATT for the forseeable future, and that coach Ricardo Liborio has been particularly helpful in preparing him.

Kimbo has been a professional MMA fighter for two years, but he acknowledged that his style hasn't changed much since his days as a street fighter: He's still primarily a stand-up brawler who's just trying to learn the basics of Brazilian jiu jitsu.

"I'm a hard puncher trying to learn the ground game," Kimbo said. "You can do a lot, but you can't master anything in two years. In mixed martial arts, the more you roll the more you learn. It's something I'm working on."

American Top Team is known for its strenuous strength and conditioning program, which pushes its fighters through grueling workouts. Kimbo said he's in good cardiovascular shape and weighing about 230 pounds, and he said he'd be capable of dropping down to 205 pounds if the UFC asks him to become a light heavyweight.

"I'm a heavyweight," Kimbo said. "But if the promoters want me to come down, heck yeah I'd give it a try."

In Kimbo's case, the promoter is UFC President Dana White, who spent much of 2007 and 2008 ripping Kimbo as a circus sideshow and not a legitimate athlete. Now that Kimbo is under contract to White, he says the two of them can work together amicably.

"it's not like we sit down together for tea and toast, but we're businessmen," Kimbo said. "He's a promoter and I'm a fighter. We do what we do."

Kimbo Slice has UFC staying power

The ratings for the first edition of Spike TV's "The Ultimate Fighter: The Heavyweights," doubled the popular reality fighting series' usual numbers, Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White said Tuesday.

There were 4.1 million viewers for the show's debut, and another million watched the replay. The major draw of the show is Kimbo Slice, the former YouTube street-fighting sensation who had a brief run in the short-lived Elite Xtreme Combat fighting organization that aired fights on CBS.

Although filming for "The Ultimate Fighter" is complete -- except for the finale to be aired live in December, with the winner earning a six-figure contract and membership in the UFC -- White told The Times that whether Slice wins or loses during the competition, he'll be in the UFC.

"Are you going to see Kimbo Slice fight again in the UFC? Yes," White said.

Asked if that was a decision based on the first episode's ratings, White said: "No, never. The ratings do not influence our decision. The guy can either fight or not."

White said one of the strongest endorsements he received about Slice's skill in the octagon came from former light-heavyweight champion Rashad Evans, who's a coach in the show and told White he wants to continue working with Slice at his elite MMA training compound directed by respected trainer Greg Jackson in New Mexico.

"We've been very impressed with Kimbo's performance," added UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta.
